deadline extension
HMRC extend deadline .
HMRC have extended the deadline for notifying an intention to make a full disclosure of offshore assets , under the New Disclosure Opportunity , from 30 September 2009 to 4 January 2010 .
A full disclosure must still be made , in writing , by 31 January 2010 or on line by 12 March 2010 .
Where HMRC have evidence that a person has undeclared offshore assets and/or undeclared tax liabilities , they will write to invite that person to make a full disclosure . The possible consequences for not doing so are described in the previous news article .
If you have received such a letter or if you think that you might need to make a voluntary full disclosure , then please contact TICS to ensure that you receive confidential advice and professional assistance .
